SERIES B FUNDRAISE

Summary

Following Oxa’s rapid growth after its Series A round, securing further capital became a strategic priority to support global scale-up and commercialisation. As Marketing & PR Manager, I was entrusted by the CEO to lead communications for the Series B fundraise, working closely with the executive team to position the business for international investors while maintaining clarity and confidence across all stakeholders.

Objectives

(1) Capital Raise: Support the successful close of a major funding round to enable growth and commercialisation

(2) Global Visibility: Strengthen international brand profile and credibility with institutional investors

(3) Clear Messaging: Ensure consistent, compliant and compelling communications throughout the fundraising process

Approach & Delivery

  • Worked closely with the CEO and executive team to support fundraising strategy and investor engagement

  • Appointed and managed relationships with investment advisory partners, GP Bullhound

  • Conducted market and investor landscape research to inform messaging and positioning

  • Led targeted global PR activity and investor-facing events to build visibility and momentum

  • Developed pitch materials and investor communications, ensuring brand coherence and clarity

  • Managed internal communications for 200+ employees throughout the fundraising process

  • Coordinated product demonstrations, investor briefings and media training for senior spokespeople

  • Worked with external legal counsel to support stakeholder communication and regulatory compliance

Outcomes & Impact

  • Supported the successful close of a $47m Series B round with investors

    • including BP Ventures, BGF, Tencent, Halma and others

  • Delivered 148 pieces of media coverage across nine countries - see coverage book HERE

    • contributing to a further $20m+ in additional investment

  • Invited to support planning and communications for the subsequent Series C fundraising round
