CRISIS MANAGEMENT
Summary
In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, Oxa established a cross-functional crisis response group to manage operational risk, employee wellbeing and business continuity. Appointed by the COO in March 2020, I was a core member of the ‘COBRA’ team, working closely with senior leadership to prioritise urgent actions, coordinate delivery and support the organisation through a period of significant uncertainty.
Objectives
(1) Business Continuity: Identify key operational risks and put contingency plans in place
(2) Employee Wellbeing: Foster a safe, supportive and engaged working environment
(3) Internal Communication: Strengthen communication and cohesion during rapid transition to remote working
Approach & Delivery

Worked directly with the CEO, COO, Facilities and HR leaders to coordinate the organisation’s Covid response

Led risk assessments and contributed to the design of response and mitigation strategies

Supported the procurement of essential health equipment and implementation of health and safety protocols

Helped establish a company-wide intranet to improve access to information and internal communication

Delivered internal engagement activity including surveys, virtual events and regular company updates

Facilitated interactive sessions with departmental leaders to surface issues and align priorities

Supported the rollout of employee wellbeing initiatives, including training and virtual social spaces

Contributed to the development of a comprehensive business continuity plan alongside the executive team
